The Reflections project started back in 2015. I wanted to record a happy love-song album for my husband.
I wrote down the songs that I liked and the songs that touched me. As I was doing my research, the list became longer and longer and the whole family got involved, especially my husband. After just a short time, I had more than a 100 songs on my list.
I discovered that the songs I had chosen were not only happy love-songs, as first intended. Instead, I had chosen songs about; longing, infatuation, real love, joy, passion, sadness, and even songs about being cheated. Together, they were reflections of emotions and situations that you might experience throughout one’s life.
I ended up choosing 50 songs to record from my list.
The recordings took place over the next 4 years in LA, Norway, and Sweden with fantastic musicians.
In the summer of 2019 I did two concerts with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, Utah. One of the songs we did together was so special that I just had to add it to the list. The song was “Slow Down”. The Reflection project ended up with 51 songs, 51 music videos and 51 talk videos released over 51 weeks for streaming and is the first project out in my musical world on Sisselmusic.com. One new song every Friday for nearly a year.
Now I am proud to present all these recordings to you in a special limited edition CD or Vinyl gift box.
I hope you will enjoy listening to them as much as I loved singing them! You can even join in by following the lyrics.
